The American-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation as defined in Section 501 (c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code.

 

The mission of the Chamber is to serve as the premier vehicle for business networking and information exchange within the American-Hungarian business community in California.  In order to achieve the mission described the Chamber shall:

(a)    provide a networking society for American and Hungarian members. The network consists of the Hungarian business community based in California and the local American companies with business interests in Hungary;

(b)   organize presentations, roundtable discussions, seminars and public relations activities;

(c)    organize networking, cultural, and social events, publish an e-newsletter, and promote American-Hungarian business;

(d)   work in close collaboration with other American-Hungarian organizations, as well as the Consulate General of Hungary to facilitate information exchange and to foster the Hungarian-American community in California;

(e)   maintain cordial relationships with Hungarian chambers of commerce, Hungarian Ministries, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other chambers of commerce and similar organizations in the United States and abroad;

(f)     represent and assist its entire membership and sub-groups of its membership with business and economic issues concerning them;

(g)    strive for constructive solutions to trade and economic problems related to Hungarian – U.S. business relations especially in California;

(h)   promote measures which benefit and protect the interests of the Members;

(i)      promote legal and ethical conduct of business;

(j)     collect and disseminate information for the Members in order to help them become familiar with regulations that concern them;

(k)    assist Members considering or engaged in economic activity especially in California or in Hungary ;
